Vein expansion is influenced by weakly developed vein walls and disturbance of vein valve functions. The reason for vein expansion may be: the work in standing position (especially – heavy when muscles have to be stretched), several pregnancies and complicated childbearing, blood accumulation in organs of little pelvis. The above mentioned phenomena much burden the blood circulation through veins (from bottom limbs up to the hemorrhoid vein plexus.
Expansion of varicose veins may be local or as long as the whole vein. At the beginning the illness does not disturb the patient, but later the tiredness of legs, especially during walking or standing, pain in the area of dual shin muscle, itches in the places of varicose vain expansion manifest themselves.
Roughly massaging the skin of limbs and even the vein wall may be injured. The complex treatment of patients with varicose vein expansion in the bottom limbs is formed of massage of the cross-waist area and massage of bottom limbs and stomach.
The purpose of massage: activation of extracardial blood circulation functions, strengthening of support-movement system muscles (including the vein walls and belly pressure), removal of stagnation and puffiness phenomena (in the belly area), improvement of intestine blood pressure and tissue nutrition, removal of metabolism products, encouragement of regeneration functions in damaged limbs.
