The basis for this medical disease is myocardial ischemia which is caused by sudden insufficiency of heart coronaries later manifesting in the sensibility of nerve tips.
Most often angina manifests by cramping the heart (vein) blood vessels which are damaged by atherosclerosis. The most important symptom of angina is the pain felt behind the chest bone. Twisting or pressing pain lasts from several minutes until half an hour. During the attack the person becomes pale. In more difficult cases cold perspiration appears and the fear of death is burdening. The pain diffusing to the left shoulder and in the interior surface of the left hand until the tips of the 4th or 5th finger is felt. After the attack of angina the places of skin hyperalgesia remain at the top of cardial chest bone handle under the left collarbone, in the zone of hear projection (towards the left front surface of chest bone), in the area of left shoulder and internal surface of the left hand.

The types of tension and peace angina are distinguished. In the first case the attack takes place during physical load and passes when the load is avoided (e.g. during walking), and in the second case the attack takes place when in body is in peace, most often during the night. In this case nitroglycerine, Validol, Zelenin’s drops or Valocordin are taken.

Purpose of massage: Massage is assigned during remission period (between attacks) in order to expand coronary heart blood vessel, improve the feeding of myocardial muscle from which the activity of vasomotor centers depends, to strengthen the system of hear – blood vessel system regulating the most important processes in the brain skin.
